Laurel, MT: When Timothy McCollough of Montana was slapped with a $3,800 suit from a law firm representing a debt collection agency, he refused to pay. Instead, he got his own layer and counter sued.  McCollough  won his action and ended up collecting $311,000 from the lawyers — who had ignored the fact that the statute of limitations had expired. The court awarded him $250,000 for emotional distress, $60,000 in punitive damages and $1,000 because the lawyers had violated the state’s debt collection law.

KA-CHING!

England: The New York Post reports that a British magistrate was recently arrested at his home.  At his home he had hoarded hundreds of pornography photos and videos of women having sex with animals — including frogs, horses, dogs, donkeys, a gerbil and a snake. Michael hall, 46, admitted to 21 charges and was sentenced to a program for sex offenders.

The Brits are so prudish.  At least he did not have child porn…

Atherton, CA: We learn that a teacher in Atherton rattled the desk of an eighth grade girl because she was not paying attention in class.  The girl then used her cell phone

Germany: Do not do this on your next trip to Germany! A tourist from Canada apparently thought he  was being funny when posing for a photo in front of the Reichstag in Berlin,  he gave the “Heil Hitler” salute. Police  immediately descended upon the 30 year old visitor, who obviously had no idea that Nazi salutes are illegal in Germany.  The man was handcuffed and his camera’s memory card taken.

Hitler actually stole that salute from the ancient Romans: “Heil Kaiser.”

Los Angeles, CA: Yes, this fellow had too much time on his hands.  Maurice Cruz who allegedly made 18,000 crank calls to 911 over a six month period, was finally arrested after local L.A. police got help from the U.S. Secret Service to track him down.

RING, RING, RING…..

Lincoln, NE: We learn that  when a sheriff’s deputy  pulled over a suspicious pickup truck

Mexico: A group in Mexico has convinced the government to create the first retirement home for elderly street walkers.  The home in Tepito, called Casa Xochiquetzal, can house up to 45 retired prostitutes, and now has 23.

A few more prostitutes and they can hold their first “ho down.”

England: Here’s one from the New York Post!  We learn that police in England say they recently received a a frivolous 911 call.  Seems an irate citizen called in to report that someone had farted on her dog.  The Post reports that there is no  report on how big a police response the call received, however, they aver that the K9 unit was interested in sniffing out the matter.

PHEW!

Sweden: Seems they chose the wrong victim!  We learn that knife wielding thieves in Sweden

El Paso, TX: We learn that a group of handymen in El Paso got a $1 million bonus from a wall.  They were knocking down the wall amid a home renovation when they hit the mother load with a sledgehammer. They, of course, turned over the money to the federal Drug Enforcement Agency, which is investigating.  For those of you who have never been there, El Paso is just across the Rio Grande from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

Finder’s keepers loser’s weepers…

Canada:  Two men in Calgary, Canada were recently arrested for drunken driving and theft after they allegedly stole a Zamboni.  An ice rink employee peered out of his office window just in time to see it slowly drive by. “I see the machine heading outside and I’m thinking what the  heck is going on here.”

For those of you who do not know, a Zamboni is machine that smoothes out the ice on hockey rinks…They cost about a zillion dollars. Idiots!

Mountain View, CA: We don’t get this one! A Colorado firefighter who seemingly enjoyed “pampering” himself was fired for wearing adult sized diapers.

Mississippi: A Mississippi man was arrested after it was discovered on surveillance video that he was having sexual intercourse with four prize winning show hogs. Reports further reveal that the man allegedly infected the hogs with a venereal disease.

What a nasty, sick pervert!

Lexington, NC: A North Carolina man was arrested after he called 911 to help him find a prostitute.  He dressed it up by telling Lexington police that he was seeking “a non-emergency domestic escort.” What he received was a trip to jail for misusing the 911 system.

Hello, police…I need….

Massachusetts:  The winter of 2011 has been unusually snowy. Leo Powers of Massachusetts probably tired of shoveling snow got himself arrested.  How
