Georgia: A preteen snitch sent his mom to jail after she forced him to kill his beloved pet hamster with a hammer after the boy got bad grades. The 12-year old told his teacher about the grisly punishment and she contacted children social services. The mom faces a charge of animal cruelty, child cruelty and battery.

Who was the bigger rat? The hamster, the mom or the boy? You choose.

Tennessee: Talk about criminal child abuse! Read this one. A Tennessee woman was arrested after getting her 11-year old son to commit armed robbery at the financial services offices where she once worked. As Angela Evans waited in the getaway car, her son walked in with a stocking mask over his face, held a gun to a woman’s head and took $480. Evans gave him $20 as his cut of the proceeds.

Long Island, NY: A Long Island woman with a drinking problem killed her husband by running him over with the family SUV as she pulled out of a parking space near their apartment.  Maureen Hines, 45, who fled New York after the incident was arrested two days later when police in New Jersey pulled her over for drunk driving. Police say they are investigating whether Hines’ conduct was intentional.  The facts show that Hines rolled over her husband’s chest as she backed out of a space near their apartment.

Saratoga Springs, NY: Calvin Morett, a 19 year old high school student was cited for disorderly conduct. His  conduct?  He showed up at his high school graduation dressed as a 6 foot penis.  Officials report that Morett went to court where he stood erect, manned up and pleaded guilty to the charge. For his punishment  he was ordered to write a letter of apology to his school.
