ENGLAND: Recently, a British man was arrested for using his laptop, sipping coffee and writing down the answers to a radio quiz. Unfortunately, he was driving while doing all of this.

So much for multitasking…

TENNESSEE: A man on trial for a robbery used his trial lunch break to commit another robbery.  We learn that Mark Burgin allegedly robbed a jewelry store of $45,000 in goods while he was on trial for robbing a truck driver at knife point. We learn further that second arrest did not affect his trial because the judge kept the jurors from hearing about it…at least, until after they found him guilty.

University City, MO: Police in this St. Louis suburb arrested Damon Perry after a homeowner returned to his house to find the 36 year old burglar frying bacon on the stove.  Perry is a suspect in a string of other burglaries in the neighborhood.

 PENNSYLVANIA: A man allegedly assaulted a police officer who made a traffic stop of him for DUI on a lawn tractor. Mark Grove, 44, had a coffee mug full of beer sitting on his tractor.  He allegedly told the office “I’m drunk. CANADA: We learn that a 19 year old British Columbia woman drove to the local police station to pick up her boyfriend who had been caught and cited for drunken driving.  However, there was problem – she, too, had been drinking and had to be arrested at the station. “The moral of the story is don’t drive to the police station if you have been drinking,” stated police sergeant Dean Jantzen.
