Birdsong trolls the news and wire services to bring you more weird criminal law.  Enjoy

Bellevue, NE: Arlene Hald, 86, of Nebraska recently received a $1,000 credit card bill for phone sex, supposedly run up by her husband.  Arlene is not mad at her husband — because he has been dead for twenty years and the couple never had a credit card!  The billing company has agreed to remove the charges, believing Hald is a victim of identity theft.

…and she hasn’t had sex in years!

McCook, NE: Ghoulish?  residents of tiny McCook have asked corrections officials if they can have the state prison’s old electric chair

We have just had our first anniversary of birdsongslaw blog and the weird criminal law stories keep coming.  here are a few more.

Oregon:  Perhaps, it’s all about easy access.  An Oregon pervert had his pants custom tailored so he could easily flash young girls with less chance of being caught.  Unfortunately for him, it did not work, and apparently, he had not learned his lesson.  Byron Earl Huff, 47, has 21 prior arrests for public indecency, among other charges.

Put that nasty thing away you pervert!

Bellevue, WA:  A great way to fight crime — steal the thief’s getaway car.  Patrick Rosario of Bellevue heard burglars

Birdsong presents more of those weird criminal law stories from around the world that he loves so much.

Florida:  One wasn’t enough! A 51 year old man was busted in a Florida parking lot engaged in a sexul romp with several blow-up sex dolls in the back seat of his car, in broad daylight.  Stunned parents covered their kid’s eyes until someone called police.

Plastic orgy maybe…………?

Iowa City, IA: Perhaps, this was the best time to have had one more for the road.  An Iowa City youth showed up dead drunk at a hearing — to be sentenced for public intoxication.

Birdsong just can’t seem to stay away from these weird criminal law stories he finds in the news and on the wire services.  Feast upon this week’s edition of weird stories from abroad.

East Sussex, England: A council in East Sussex has put the kibosh on any street name that even sounds “rude.”  So, forget about  the old  street names  we came to love, such as Cracknuts Lane, Juggs Road and (oh, dear) Cockshut Road. New guidelines will avoid double entendres and randy names, the council said.

Oh, those British prudes…we will miss the likes of Cracknuts Lane.

Northern Italy: An Italian convict who was let out of prison early begged to be let back in because he could not stand living with his parents.  Guido Beneventi, 30, called his jailers “my saviors”

Beverly Hills, CA: Dr. Craig Alan Bittner, a Beverly Hills liposuction doctor turned the fat he removed from patients into biodiesel fuel that propelled his Ford SUV and his girlfriend’s Lincoln Navigator.  Problem is, it’s illegal in California to use human medical waste to power vehicles.  Dr. Bittner is being investigated by the state Department of Health.
