Worcester, MA: Antonio Judd of Worcester was sentenced to 18 months in jail for stealing a hot dog from a man at gunpoint. Judd walked up to the victim in a park, stole the hot dog and devoured it, spilling mustard all over his shirt. When police arrested Judd they found a pellet gun and a knife in his pocket.

Haverhill, MA: A robbery in this Massachusetts town was thwarted when a convenience store clerk said he would give the crook the money only if he first showed the gun he claimed to have. This left Adam Alsarabi so flustered that he ran and was later caught nearby — unarmed — by police.

Waterloo, IA: A man walked into a convenience store in Waterloo, acted suspiciously and kept his hand in his pocket. The clerks, who had been robbed before, figured he must be a robber and threw a bag of money at him. He just looked at it and walked out. He was later arrested for public intoxication.

United Kingdom: It has been reported that a British prison has banned sanitizing gel after guards discovered prisoners using the alcohol-based gel to mix with fruit, water and sugar to make illicit cocktails.

Groveport, OH: An 80 year old Ohio man was shot while taking a self-defense class he had signed up for days after being beaten and robbed in a home invasion. The shot from the 9mm pistol went through Ralph Needs’ hand as the instructor was loading it to show the old timer how to use it.

Penndel, PA: A Pennsylvania man was smashing his computer to bits with a metal bar just as police were about to search the machine for child pornography. Police were serving a search warrant on Timothy Daniel Dolezal, 57, when they found him bashing his computer. D aespite his efforts, the hard drive was OK, and cops managed to recover 1,000 images of kiddie porn on it, an official said.
