On September 1, 2008, a ticked off Reader wrote this rant to the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper:

Hey Birdsong. Don’t you agree that, in this country of diverse nationalities and cultures, children are not being taught or disciplined to conform around the same societal values? Each school should reflect traditional American values by requiring a course on the old-fashioned golden rules of sharing, respect for your elders and doing unto others. And that goes for elementary, middle and high schools.
