Weird Criminal Law Stories # 312: Stolen Beer

COLORADO: A brewery worked was arrested for allegedly stealing 570 rare and expensive beers from his employers at Avery Brewery Company. Adam James Dickenson, 26 worked at the boulder business for a few months last year and is accused of stealing beers worth $200 to $300, including brands like Duck Duck Gooze, Rogue Old Crustacean, and a case of Isabelle Proximus.

NORTH DAKOTA: Two Fargo men were simultaneously having sex with a woman when Ashley Hunter, 33, asked Orlando DeWitt, 37, to switch positions with him. Police report that when Dewitt refused to change positions it touched off a bitter argument that ended with Hunter stabbing his three-some buddy.

          YES, PLEASURE QUICKLY TURNED TO PAIN, BUT EVERYONE LIVED.

 TEXAS: Please be careful if you ever drive through the town of Missouri City. Why? The town has decided to charge a “crash tax” to motorist involved in accidents.  The bill can run as high as $2,000 per wreck. The tax is meant to pay for emergency responders and only those drivers deemed responsible for collisions will be charged.

 NEW MEXICO: Albuquerque police are trying to “flush” out brazen bathroom bandits who enter city restrooms and steal auto-flush sensor mechanisms. The thieves pose as plumbers, zero in on Flush-O-Matics and sell them for $30 each on the black market.
