Weird Criminal Law Stories 231

Washington State: Here’s a real weird one. A Washington man out on bail in the shooting death of his teenage girlfriend was arrested again.  Why?  He dug up the girl’s tombstone and replaced it with another one listing his  own name.  James Radtke, 25, also spelled out her name in Taco Bell wrappers on the ground by the grave.

Death wish, maybe…

CANADA: A Toronto man, Jason Myles,  who worked from home as a software consultant, was recently wearing noise cancelling headphones and did not hear police knocking on his  front door.  The Police who were acting on a tip that a killing had taken place at the address broke down the door, drew their weapons and handcuffed Myles. Police found no body and discovered the hoax tip had come from a land line that Myles had cancelled two weeks earlier.

Did they pay for his door? inquiring minds would like to know.

Clearwater, FL: Police in Clearwater were shocked after they finally discovered the identity of a prolific graffiti artist. Why were they shocked?  They found that the artist was not some young man but the 71 year old Charles Wesley.  Wesley allegedly sprayed the letters “SLA” on hundreds of light poles around the city for a number of years.  Police learned that “SLA” were the initials of a fringe political party Wesley founded.

Symbionese Liberation Army, maybe?

North Branford, CT: A woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting another female she believed was eyeing her boyfriend.  The other female was a 12 year old girl.  Candice Kiley, 24, believed the preteen was after her 30 year old boyfriend and threw the girl to the ground, according to the police report. The incident occurred during a family birthday party.

Some birthday party!
