The error led to the arrest of a 29 year old man after workers at a Target store noticed honest Abe’s face on the C-notes. It is reported that the man was arrested before he had the chance to release his next series of — $3 bills with Jimmy Carter’s face.

MASSACHUSETTS: The Mayor of the town of Lawrence, William Lantigua, who is being investigated for alleged corruption, has married a key witness against him. Lantigua’s marriage to City Hall secretary Lorenza Ortega, who recently appeared before the grand jury, means she can now invoke spousal privilege and refuse to testify against him.

MASSACHUSETTS: An arrest was made at Boston’s Logan airport of a man who tried to sneak cocaine into the states hidden in the wheels of his wheelchair. Emmanuelli Rojas-Moraza, of Carolina, Puerto Rico was found in possession of 200 grams of coke. Rojas-Moraza had a cast on his leg, but X-rays later showed his injury to be phony.
