The Associate Dean's First Day

April 2nd, 2009 by Leonard Birdsong

April 1, has come and gone.  It was Birdsong’s first day as Associate Dean of Administration of the Barry University School of Law.

So how was it?   Not bad.

Arrived at work at 9:30 am.  At 10 am had a one hour meeting with the Chief Financial Officer and was briefed on my budgetary duties.  At 11 am met with the Associate Dean for Academics for 30 minutes to discuss the upcoming ABA Site visit.  At 11:30 am met with Dean Diaz for a 45 minute briefing on my duties and responsibilities.

At 1:15 taught my Immigration Law class until 2:40 pm.  Lunch at 3 pm.  Meeting with various students from 3:30 to 5 pm about their fall registrations.  Left the office at 5:30.

The day was a piece of cake!
