Krystal Birdsong's Writings 9

February 24th, 2009 by Leonard Birdsong

Birdsong is proud that his daughter Krystal was  such a very good writer during the short time she stayed with us here on earth.  Our family misses her so!  Nevertheless, in going through her effects after her passing we have come upon her journals where she wrote her poems and songs.  Krystal never shared these writings with her family, but now that I have found them Birdsong would like to share them with a wider world.  The following work is labeled as a dream.

As many of you know Birdsong’s youngest child, Krystal, passed away last September.  The family has been heartbroken at her untimely demise.  However, we have discovered some of her journals where she kept her poems, musings, and other writings.  I enjoy sharing her writings with a wider world.  Here are a couple of poems we found.

Birdsong continues to go through his late daughter Krystal’s effects.  Krystal passed away in September of 2008.  She left several journals containing poems and musings she wrote over the years.  As I read them I wonder what was on her mind.  Birdsong wishes to share this one with the world.

Krystal Birdsong's Writings 6

Birdsong plans to continue showcasing his late daughter Krystal’s poems and musings on this blog.  Krystal graduated from Barry University in May of 2008.  She passed away in September of 2008.  Her passing broke all of our hearts.   Krystal always kept a journal but never showed her writings to her family.  This week birdsong presents two untitled pieces we found recently  while going through one of her journals.  Enjoy.

UNTITLED 1

Loving to hate, but living to die.

Every morning I hear them calling.

Taking the breath and substance within.

Night and day I feel them breaking.

UNTITLED 2

She slowly waves her soft, silken robe across the sky putting the world to sleep.

Birdsong has been proud to showcase over the last few weeks  some of the poems and writings of his daughter Krystal who passed away in September.  Krystal was a very intelligent girl and an excellent writer.  Birdsong misses her so!  Here is a longer piece Birdsong found in one of her composition books.  It was written during her last semester of high school.  Although I do not truly know what was on her mind, I wish to share her thoughts with a wider world. Enjoy.
