The last weekend in August of 2016, would have been the third annual Miss Bim Bim pageant before government officials cancelled it for being too sexist and degrading. “Our role is to do everything to avoid damaging the image of our women,” said Minister Laure Zongo.
CALIFORNIA: Flaming Poo, maybe? Vandals lit portable toilets on fire at San Francisco’s China Basin Beach, causing a big flaming mess. “It was a pretty big fire. Flames were lighting up the place,” a nearby neighbor said. Fortunately no one was injured but the vandals caused $30,000 in damage to the beach, which had to be temporarily closed. PHEW!

The Toys R Us in Calgary charged $24.99 for the white you & Me Kissing Baby Doll and only $22.99 for the same doll with darker skin, angry parents said.
CANADA: Could this summer vacation been a crime? A Canadian teen called 911 in August of 2016 to report that her parents had “forced” her to go on vacation with them to Ontario. Police determined that there was no real emergency involved and cited the 15-year-old for improper use of the 911 system.
